‘Flash Gordon’ star, Sam J. Jones, takes on a new role in our movie, ‘An Unlikely Angel’. Jones plays the grandfather character to Samantha Caswell (played by Delyla De Castro) and father to Janie Caswell (played by Jillian Murray).
“Over the past years, I have been fortunate to play dads, fathers. I have been the superhero or the villain, and now I get to play the dad and the granddad, which is wonderful,” he said. “This was my first grandfather role as well, and I absolutely loved it.”
Jones says that his real-life experience as a grandfather helped him portray his character as realistically as possible for audiences to enjoy. As a former Marine, Jones admits he sometimes tries to overcome the problems he faces too quickly, but he adds it is important to have faith and ask God for help.
